 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the Prime Minister said that one day when he retires, he would want his successor to take over a party which is strong and he will work to ensure that the BN government will continue to become the people’s backbone of prosperity and their well-being. He said "This the responsibility I am shouldering and I will pursued it diligently. The approaches must keep up with the times. They may not be the same but what is important BN comes back to power and remain strong," 
Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, Menteri Besar Kelantan berkata usaha untuk mengukuhkan hubungan sepatutnya bukan di antara PAS dan UMNO tetapi di antara kerajaan negeri dan persekutuan. "Ia merupakan tanggungjawab kerajaan persekutuan untuk bekerja sama dengan kerajaan negeri walaupun terdapat perbezaan ideologi" katanya lagi. Beliau menerangkan bahawa kerjasama PAS dengan UMNO tidak akan berlaku. Kerajaan persekutuan bertanggungjawab untuk membantu Kerajaan Negeri Kelantan termasuklah membekalkan peruntukan. "Kami tidak meminta untuk dibantu tetapi ini sudah termaktub dalam perlembagaan." katanya lagi.
 Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the deputy prime minister has called on the component parties in the BN (Barisan Nasional) to not use the media to help solve their problems. He said "We should not reveal the troubles within the respective parties. This will only increase the public's negative perception of us. All parties have their problems but the important thing its how to solve them. Whatever the problems, we must solve them oursevles. There's no need to go to the media. We have to be careful. Although they are internal problems, we cannot prevent them from becoming part of the Barisan Nasional problem. We fight on the BN platform. I know it's not that easy but if we only want to defend our position without considering the bigger consequence, it will not be beneficial. What's important is how we can raise public confidence in the BN," 
Kematian SU Politik Exco Selangor, Teoh Beng Hock menjadi satu misteri khususnya untuk rakyat Malaysia sejak kebelakangan ini. Kejadian itu telah menimbulkan pelbagai andaian dan ramalan dari pelbagai pihak. 
 Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the deputy prime minister commented that he do not know why Datuk Chua Jui Meng, the former health minister resigned from the MCA and joined the PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) but stated that it is a normal phenomenon. He said "That (resigning from MCA) is his right. There must be a reason. We should not make a big issue of it. Chua might have left due to his own political considerations or he would have resigned because of internal problems in MCA ... I am not sure,"

Ahmad Fuad Md Kasim, the general manager of SESB (Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd) said that the company is discussing with the Energy Commission of Malaysia in finding ways to curb quarters making illegal connections for electricity. He said "From the aspects of operational effectiveness, there seems to be some success, confiscating cables used for illegal connections but unfortunately the people involved continue to make illegal connections. We at SESB will not remain quiet...we will have more discussions with the commission to see what appropriate action can be taken so that squatters were not spared from the law,"
